The Infor Cloud team is looking for software and system professionals to help deploy and operate software services into public cloud through automation. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and deploying highly available, highly scalable applications for one or more environments/systems and work as a member of the Agile/Scrum team daily for the maintenance, upkeep and integrity of these environments. Provide expertise in the use of Cloud reference architectures and solutions to support software development in a DevOps environment. Leverage the applications of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field and apply general knowledge of other related disciplines. Support technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Provide analysis for approach to solutions.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes: 

• Implement code and automation for cloud-based applications and microservices, both front and back end
• Collaborate with other developers and departments to ensure high quality software and timely delivery
• Participate in agile standups and perform code review
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing systems and procedures
• Maintain and enhance existing systems based on user feedback
• Ensure that unit and system tests are automated, per quality assurance requirements
• Optimize performance and scalability as necessary to meet the business goals of application and environment
• Take on other projects and responsibilities as necessary

Required skills:

• Proficiency in Python or another server-side programming language such as Java
• Knowledge of developing and consuming REST APIs
• Knowledge of automating public cloud infrastructure deployments
• Knowledge of Jenkins or an equivalent CI tool
• Knowledge of Git and source control
• Understanding of agile development best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, fluid technical environment

Preferred skills:

·       Computer Science or Engineering degree
