Location: Alpharetta, GA

The position is responsible for reviewing transactional data to create royalty and commission accrual and expense entries. Those entries are posted, reported, and paid to 3rd party partners each month.  The accountant will manage internal and external partner relationships with those who receive or are depending on those royalty and commission entries. The position is ideal for an accountant with an operational mindset to execute accounting processes.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Evaluate transactional data to create accrual, expense, and payment entries related to 3rd party royalty and sales commission fees.  This includes
  • Booking monthly Journal Entries
  • Providing Partner Statements
  • Initiating Partner payments
  • Conduct work in compliance with department accounting policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate a high-level ability to read and interpret simple contract terms that guide reporting and payment requirements for partners. 
  • Research and respond to internal & external partner accounts inquiries, disputes, or variances with the required sense of urgency
  • Perform as required G/L account reconciliations
  • Participate in the management: 
  • acquired companies
  • new partners
  • new accounting policies
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of all position required computer systems
  • Handle ad hoc projects are required by the team


What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Accounting/Finance experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced level Microsoft Excel user.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills are a must

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Access experience a plus
  • Accounting or Finance Degree preferred by not required.
