Description & Requirements

The CS Solution Architect within M3 Industry Solutions & Innovation is primarily an internally facing role. The position will be an integral part of a small, experienced team responsible for harvesting, evolving and enabling content in the M3 CS Industry Process Catalogs (IPC) solutions. In order to achieve this, the position demands a deep understanding of the application of Industry business processes within Infor’s clearly defined industry focus areas, together with experience of complete end-to-end scenarios and use cases. In addition to understanding supporting IA configuration data, an ability to clearly describe and document process features within defined and proven standards is essential.

The position also assumes an ability to communicate clearly within the team and with connected personnel right across the Infor organization, including senior management, product managers, global methods team, Infor Services implementation teams, as well as Infor partners within the Infor Ecosystem.  

The successful CS Solution Architect will understand the critical contributions of the IPC solutions to our primarily M3 based Cloudsuites and Infor’s Go To Market strategies, and appreciate how the IPC content is utilized within a sales environment, and subsequent scoping exercise as well as the implementation project itself. An ability to own, innovate and take responsibility for specific features across an industry focussed solution is essential.


A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
  • Influence & design business processes and solution pre-configuration that reflects the functionality and capabilities of a CloudSuite centric Industry solution – within the Process & Distribution sectors.
  • Write supporting documentation according to prescribed formats and standards.
  • Work with the Infor IPC Development Tooling to present functionality as clearly as possible. Training on the tool will be given.
  • Work with Infor Jira to record, manage and plan all activities in an IPC development phase.
  • Participate and contribute to regular team and one-to-one meetings.
  • Participate in field enablement where necessary and be prepared to support implementation teams at short notice on the correct usage of the Industry Solution & Innnovation team’s content in order to maximise customer value.
  • Working with externally facing GPS Solution Architects to be a key contributor and maintain an interaction with the Communities of Practice network.
  • Working with Education and Enablement to support long standing GPS enablement initiatives such as Engage™ activities and to provide the required level of understanding behind those initiatives.
  • Leverage significant industry and domain expertise to drive strategic innovation in implementation services. 
  • Closely partner in established Special Interest Groups with Product Management, Industry Strategy team, Solution Sales, GPS theaters, Partners, and the wider Industry Innovation team to drive IPC requirements from inputs on trends, market needs, project requirements and potential complimentary partnerships that will further enhance and differentiate Infor’s preconfigured solutions and provide better time to value.

What You Will Need:
  • A deep understanding of Infor’s core Industry focus markets in Process & Distribution.
  • Proven ability to confidently communicate with Infor management and peer consultancy personnel.
  • Proven ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a demonstrated initiative in taking ownership for all assigned responsibilities, deliverables, and results.
  • Document-writing skills in clear, concise English.
  • Relevant ERP experience would be an advantage, but we have an extensive training programme on our core suites, alongside peer mentorship within the team.
  • Sound working knowledge of one or more of the following functional streams: Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Financial Plan to Report, Production to Inventory, Plan to Inventory and/or Demand to Plan.
