In this role, you will be responsible for gathering key competitive insights to optimize Sales positioning and strategy, product development, marketing, and service operations. This role will report to the Vice President of Product Management. The goal is to improve Infor's ability to grow revenue, improve win rate, enhance products, and compete across our industries. You will need to gather and analyze market and competitive data to identify key strengths and weaknesses of competitors in relation to Infor. You will then use this information to help drive winning positioning messaging and product innovation strategies. You will be responsible for proactively maintaining both a base of knowledge and a set of materials that will be used across the organization. You will deliver that information in meetings and presentations to varied audiences.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
• Know our major competitor’s products, sales positioning, and corporate strategies at a detailed level.
• Gather information on competitors from multiple external and internal sources, including 3rd party research, sales and client interviews, and publicly available material from competitors.
• Conduct Win-Loss interviews, surveys, data collection and critical analysis.
• Provide an objective perspective on Infor's strengths and weaknesses in your focus industries and products.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, product management, and service teams to enable company success over competitors.
• Translate competitive knowledge into impactful materials, messaging, sales strategies, and product direction.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with performing Competitive Intelligence or Market Research.
• Research and analysis skills.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization (product, sales, marketing, service).
• Knowledge of SaaS products related to ERP, Manufacturing, Distribution, Finance, SCM, or HCM.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Nice to have experience specifically performing competitive intelligence in Infor's markets of Service Industries such as Healthcare, Public Sector, Financial, and Professional Services. Degrees or Certifications that are not Essential.
• Knowledge of the products, features, and positioning of Infor, Oracle, Workday, UKG, InterSystems, SAP, Microsoft.
