Title:  Senior WMS Consultant

Location:  REMOTE - CANADA

Travel required.  Some international.

Infor is searching for a WMS Functional Consultant to report to the senior director of the consulting practice and be part of a projects team implementing Infor’s SCE warehouse management solution (WMS).  The WMS Functional Consultant will participate in projects to implement Infor’s SCE warehouse management solution (WMS) providing warehouse business process and application configuration expertise in receiving, putaway, order selection, replenishment, inventory control, shipping, and warehouse business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Act in a consulting role on assigned projects.
  • Provide in depth application and business consultation in targeted processes.
  • Analyze customers' business requirements objectives; develops business processes to meet customers' business needs.  Model to-be business processes in the Infor application.  Document and communicate the planned use of the Infor application.
  • Apply Infor implementation methodology and assist customers in using available tools to deploy the Infor solution efficiently.
  • Prepare weekly status reports for Infor and client project management.
  • Work as an integral part of the project team – coordinating activities with Infor project manager and working effectively with customer and Infor team members of all levels.
  • Travel to customer sites in North America, primarily the United States to deliver consulting services.  There may be some opportunities for international assignments. Occasionally, project activities may be identified that can be performed remotely.

Consultant will provide business process expertise and application configuration expertise in the following business process areas:

  • Inbound Receiving (receiving processes, serial number capture, catchweight processing, lot tracking, product returns, ASN processing, new item management)
  • Putaway (putaway strategies, system directed, or driver directed)
  • Order Selection (order selection disciplines that would include picking on paper, RF picking, voice picking and picking with material handling support replenishment, product replenishment strategies, stocking)
  • Inventory Control (inventory control procedures, new item management, item slotting disciplines, product dimensions management, exception management, problem resolution
  • Outbound Shipping (pick, pack and ship disciplines, packing station operation, outbound QA processes, billing
  • Inventory Processes (cycles counting, physical inventory, inventory sampling)
  • Material Handling Equipment (carousels, lighted picking systems, conveyors system, automated guided vehicles, palletizing systems, automated retrieval systems

Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years warehouse management systems / warehouse applications
  • Receiving, Putaway, Order Selection, Replenishment, Inventory Control, Shipping and warehouse business processes
  • Business processes for warehouse processes
  • Process analysis, design, and documentation
  • Operational report design and definition
  • Strong MS Office skills

Preferred / Not Required:

  • 1+ years of Infor WMS (WM 4000, WM9, SCE)
  • Warehouse management experience
  • 3rd party logistics, manufacturing, CPG, retail disciplines
