Description & Requirements
Infor is seeking a Professional Consulting Service (Discrete) team manager to join our GPS organization in Japan. This role will report to the Director of Consulting Practice - Discrete and manages a team of consultants with the main focus on people management and ongoing projects. You will communicate with consultants to design Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations (REE) based on PBM and individual career plans. The Talent Manager also monitors the performance of each consultant to improve KPI and support achievable plans. This role will periodically communicate with each consultant to assess performance with feedback.
The principal KPIs are GPS revenue, margin & customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction. The Consulting Manager works closely with the Project Managers, Client Partners, Account Executives, Competency Centers, and Resource Planning.
Your Responsibilities Include:
· Manage a team of Consultants and Developers with responsibility for team utilization, recruitment, retention, performance evaluation, competence development, coaching, and team building.
· Assure high customer satisfaction by providing high-quality services and product delivery.
· Support Sales by providing subject matter experts for sales opportunities.
· Hire, onboard, and develop graduate recruits (Early Talents).
· Drive knowledge exchange processes within both the team & across the Professional Services organization.
· Oversee Subject Matter Experts and Technical Solution Architects.
· Actively contribute to and establish business development plans with the assigned region.
· Serve as the escalation point for Consultant issues and concerns.
· Work closely with Regional Management, PMs, Client Partners, Account Executives, Competency Center, and Near- and Offshore Centers on capacity planning, resourcing requirements for major projects & resource competence development plans.
· Work closely with Resource Planning on scheduling & optimization of resources and staffing of projects.
· Be a spokesperson internally and externally to support the development and growth of the assigned region.
· Manage internal communication with employees.
Knowledge and Skills, you must bring to the organization:
· More than 15 years of ERP or relevant business application implementation experience
· More than 10 years of experience in Discrete (Auto and/or Industrial Manufacturing) related industries
· Experience in team management including project-basis
· Business development and sales support experience
· Services delivery experience and strong track record of overachievement on targets
· Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
· Proven ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external business relationships with various levels of management
· Experience working with, and or coordinating the efforts of multiple parties
· Knowledge of applicable industry terminology and practices, esp. ERP-Software, Security, and Transformation programs
· Ability to manage utilization & revenue forecast and reflect a true position
· Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and planning skills
· Excellent understanding of Japanese and English (communication and writing)
· Excellent interpersonal skills to work as a team member
· Professional appearance and presentation
· Experience of successful implementation of large-scale software implementation projects
