JOB POSITION:  Sr. Director, Internal Communications

JOB LOCATION: United States/Remote


The Senior Director will work within the Internal Communications team and align directly with the Infor’s Customer Experience Solutions (CES) organization, which is comprised of professional services and consulting, customer support, partners, global education and enablement, and customer success teams.

This person will be responsible for partnering with CES leadership to build and manage an overarching communication plan across its functions that strategically links its key programs & plans while also ensuring alignment with other corporate priorities, Infor branding guidelines, and Internal Communication standards. This person will advise on where and how to optimize messaging and roll out strategies both within CES and across the organization as needed, as well as create, edit, and approve communications as part of overall programs.


·       Provide overarching communications support and guidance to CES executives and leadership team.

·       Partner with CES leadership, team members and Internal Communications team to develop overall internal communications strategy and implement plans and calendars.

·       In partnership with CES leadership, program / team leads and content owners, help build and launch a cohesive SharePoint intranet site and provide assistance to ensure teams follow best practice publishing, management and knowledge sharing guidelines. Ensure CES communication is stored and appropriately accessible.

·       Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and business leads, define their communication requirements, and provide strategic advice and counsel.

·       Manage relationships with key internal partners (Internal Communications, Social Media, Video, Design, Legal etc.) to ensure timely and successful communications execution.

·       Ensure internal communications consistently reiterate the company's goals, values, and vision.

·       Serve as the overall manager for all Partner Communications which includes external channel and alliance partners as well as internal partner managers. Requires collaboration with partner operations and partner enablement teams to ensure information is communicated in a timely and appropriate manner though emails, newsletters, meetings, SharePoint sites and other vehicles as deemed appropriate.

·       Define and track metrics to assess the effectiveness of internal communications programs and refine approaches as needed.

·       Provide leadership and guidance to help team members build their communication and content skills.

·       Identify and enable best practices for cadence and methods to drive two-way communication and closed loop feedback.

·       Provide assistance with large organizational calls and events using the Microsoft Teams platform (both meetings and Live events)


·       Bachelor's degree

·       10+ years of corporate communications experience in a matrixed organization, including experience leading internal communications for a company undergoing growth.

·       Experience managing cross-functional teams and leveraging influence, leadership, expert organizational skills, and inspiration to achieve desired results.

·       Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and nurture cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders, senior executives, and individuals at all levels of the organization.

·       Skilled in developing and implementing strategic communications plans in alignment with the organization's goals and corporate priorities.

·       Persona; track record of providing strategic and tactical communications support and counsel to C-level and senior executives.

·       Proven ability to identify opportunities, link strategies to internal communications plans, deliver results and adjust plans as appropriate.

·       Strong personal impact with the ability to build relationships and credibility.

·       Cultural sensitivity to effectively plan internal communications for a diverse group of colleagues.

·       Entrepreneurial and a hands-on style with a strong bias for action and results. Unafraid to jump in as needed while working effectively in an innovative environment that values collaboration without ego.

·       Operate at a high level of intensity, act with a sense of urgency without sacrificing excellence.

·       Ability to synthesize and accurately disseminate information from across a variety of business areas.

·       Excellent verbal communicator, strong writer, editor, and storyteller who can distill complex concepts, craft a compelling narrative, and build an emotional connection.

·       Highly self-sufficient with a thick skin and ability to offer alternatives in an effective manner by clarifying situation, sharing options / limitations, and gaining consensus on priorities and plans.

·       Prior experience successfully managing expectations of executives, senior leadership, and key stakeholders.

·       Creative problem solving, and delegation skills.

Preferred skills & KNOWLEDGE: 

·       Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Corporate Communications or similar

·       Experience with organizational change management initiatives 

·       Experience in a professional services software consulting organization

·       Proven ability as trusted advisor while promoting a culture of respect and integrity, motivating others to give their best efforts.

·       Significant experience with MS Teams, Yammer and SharePoint Online—designing templates, driving standards, and using adds-in such as Power Automate for workflow creation
