The Manila team is 15 strong and growing, composed of highly talented and professional software developers, quality analysts and business analysts. The Opportunity:

We are looking for a high performing team lead to help bring the Infor WFM team in Manila to the next level. We use Java, Kotlin, Angular, Docker and other modern tools and frameworks for our product. You will be leading of a growing team of full-stack developers using the Scrum framework. The role will require you to oversee operations, evaluate solutions, perform code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and work directly on features and triage. You will also be required to plan sprints while working with product managers, business analysts and onshore development leaders to review and prioritize requirements. You will work hand in hand with other local leaders to determine the overall direction of the Manila team. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute solutions for features and bugs
  • Implement and refine processes for enforcing high standards for code and design quality
  • Perform code and design reviews
  • Champion testing requirements for development
  • Master product functionality and technical architecture
  • Regularly analyze existing processes and develop more effective solutions and strategies.
  • Work closely with other leads to execute short- and long-term goals
  • Manage Scrum events and reinforce Agile practices
  • Mentor and coach direct reports
  • Regularly assess employee performance and provide helpful feedback
  • Perform regular 1 on 1s with your direct reports
  • Hiring and screening candidates


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Be open to take on other projects and responsibilities as necessary


Essential Skills:

  • At least 8 years total experience as a Software Engineer specializing in an Object-Oriented Language
  • At least a year of experience as a team lead or lead developer
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of functional programming concepts
  • Comprehensive knowledge of code review practices
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CI concepts and BDD/TDD frameworks
  • Comprehensive knowledge of software triage and debugging methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Object-Oriented design
  • Thorough knowledge of Scrum Agile practices
  • Thorough knowledge of defect tracking tools similar to JIRA


Beneficial Skills:

·       Scrum Master or Product Owner training or certification

·       Knowledge of Java 8+ and related technologies

·       Knowledge of Kotlin

·       Knowledge of front-end development (TypeScript/Angular)

·       Knowledge of Docker

·       Knowledge of source repository tools and processes (SVN, Git)

·       Knowledge of database development and/or administration

·       Experience with globally distributed virtual teams and overseas stakeholders



·       Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields or strong self-learnt Computer Science background
