Description & Requirements
The Cloud System Engineer, Sr. is a key member of the Infor Cloud Operations team, responsible for operations of Infor’s Cloud Suite solution in the Amazon AWS (Commercial and/or GovCloud region(s)). The role is responsible for the solution’s operations and continuously evolve the solution to meet contract service level agreements and operational efficiencies. The system engineer is also required to understand AWS technologies as well as have system-level understanding of complex information system topologies.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
- Work with Developers, QA, and support to address compliance, security, and customer issues
- Monitor systems for performance and system outages
- Deploy new software and infrastructure automation as part of the software lifecycle
- Maintain documentation for Cloud Operations tasks
- Create and Maintain change management records
Required skills:
- Experience as operator of production environments in large application deployments adhering to best practices like ITIL V3
- Experience automating enterprise-class applications or cloud topologies
- Experience with designs consuming cloud services/technologies, specifically on AWS (CloudFormation, EC2, EBS, ELB, KMS, IAM, STS, CloudWatch, S3, VPC, security groups)
- Experience on server platforms specifically Windows 2019 and Linux flavors is required
- Experience with OS security involving Active Directory, Windows networking, Group Policies, DNS, PKI & Certificates
- Experience writing Python and Windows Powershell
- Experience with compliance, management, and monitoring products like Splunk, TrendMicro, Grafana, and Nessus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal large-scale production experience is a huge plus
- Formal experience working in a FedRamp-controlled environment
