Cross Industry Solution lead is under Global Professional Service (GPS) organization and supports all the major delivery projects across the discrete manufacturing and Food & Beverage industry customers. This role is a professional independent contribution role and reports to VP of GPS in Japan. 

The Cross Industry Solution lead is responsible for proposing specific Infor solutions that fit within the customer’s business environment and business objectives and can be shown to address the customer’s business problems and exploit opportunities. This position is able to understand customer business drivers and the current IT environment. Ensuring solution feasibility and proposing a roadmap to realize the solution. The Cross Industry Solution lead is deployed operationally across multiple solution domains utilizing their broad knowledge of the Infor solution portfolio to identify the components required to construct the most appropriate solution for the customer.

This role will be covering variety of Infor edge solutions (SCP, Birst+, d-EPM, WMS, etc.) and Infor OS.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Acts as an expert and evangelist in Infor Applications and Technology.
  • Maintains up-to-date product and technical knowledge of the Infor portfolio and roadmap for an industry and/or horizontal solution set.
  • Designs, develops, documents, and delivers solution architectures that meet client needs. 
  • Determines solution approach, identifies the critical path, and defines an appropriate solution roadmap. 
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers throughout the sales lifecycle; Leads architectural discussions with clients around proposed solutions. 
  • Acts as the primary point of ownership with responsibility for functional solutions. 
  • Challenges requirements to take advantage of the value-added provided by Infor solutions. 
  • Ensures that the different solution pieces built by different teams are consistent. 
  • Create Technical Specifications for Infor solutions business rules, business processes, interfaces etc.
  • Effectively apply solution knowledge to Infor’s sales and delivery projects that are complex in nature and require consulting leadership.
  • Provide consulting leadership through knowledge sharing, mentoring, coaching and skills development.
  • Collaborate with an off-shore technical team to drive developments and customization.

Knowledge and Skills, you must bring to the organization:

  • Deep industry expertise in Food and Beverage, and/or Discrete Manufacturing is strongly preferred. 
  • Proven experience in presenting to C-level audiences focusing on demonstrating the business value of solutions. 
  • Minimum 10+ years’ project experience with ERP multiple process areas. 
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of Infor architecture engagement processes and tools.
  • Implementation experience across all business process areas of Warehousing, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing and Planning, Customer Sales, Finance. 
  • Knowledge of the essential standards for business processes, information models, and architectural models generally applied in an industry. 
  • Strong oral and written communication (Fluent in Japanese and business-level English) that can effectively articulate complex ideas.
  • Programming skills Java, JavaScript or C#.
  • XML-based messaging integration technologies.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, customer-facing consulting, problem solving and analytic skills.
  • Willingness to travel local and overseas.
