The Cloud Software as a Service (Cloud SaaS) team at Infor is building internal software tools and services that help developers deploy code and operations personnel maintain it. Our work decreases time to market, reduces development cost and accelerates innovation for the next generation of enterprise cloud applications.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development and Operations Engineer that will join our Cloud SaaS Operations team. You’ll work with many AWS offerings and open-source tools. You’ll help provide operational support to our Cloud Infrastructure that hosts our enterprise applications while maintaining the backend services. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring, and development of system automations while working with key stakeholders throughout the enterprise to help us deliver multi-tenant applications to customers in the cloud. And you’ll work on a tight-knit team that moves fast and learns new skills on a daily basis.


  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining software applications in the AWS cloud
  • Must have prior experience in maintaining multi-tenant environments hosted in public cloud such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.


  • Design, manage, and operate services running in Amazon Web Services
  • Develop, test, implement, and maintain automation/scripting solutions for AWS deployments or internal tools.
  • Keep up to date with newest technology and implement new features that can improve the stability, manageability, and customer experience.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and monitoring of service systems to ensure adequate SLA and deliverables
  • Optimize performance and scalability as necessary and ensure the overall health of the environment
  • Take on other projects and responsibilities as necessary
  • Responsible for analyzing IT environment and developing detail change suggestions for enhancements and new information technology solutions
  • Provides technical expertise to the product development, product maintenance, and customer support organizations
  • At times, directly interact with DBA, Support Teams and Development Teams and other resources when necessary to reach resolutions.
  • Maintain and create comprehensive documentations of architectures, procedures, and processes, at times provide unofficial training to help other teams understand the infrastructure and setup.
  • Participate in problem solving such as root cause analysis to resolve issues.
  • Provide official/unofficial training to help other teams understand the product infrastructure and setup, as well as the automation projects implemented. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.
  • Directly co-work with Development Teams, DBA, Support Teams and resources when necessary to reach resolutions to production issues, as well as other improvements necessary.
  • On-call engineer (if possible/depends on the team) to resolve mission critical enterprise level service issues


  • Experience in installation, configuration, and management of Operating Systems such as Linux and Windows
  • Experience working with, setting up, troubleshooting and/or maintaining web applications and server-based applications.
  • Automation and scripting experience (Using Python, Bash or PowerShell)
  • Knowledgeable with AWS Core Services and Concepts
  • Proficiency developing and consuming REST APIs
  • Experience in automating AWS infrastructure deployments with CloudFormation, CodeDeploy, etc
  • Knowledge of Jenkins or an equivalent CI tool
  • High proficiency with Git and source control
  • Understanding of agile development best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, fluid technical environment
  • Good ability to manage and multi-task and is committed to deadlines
  • Fosters effective working relationships with associates in other organization units.
  • Ability to sometimes work outside of scheduled business shift.


  • Experience in building / maintaining / configuring highly available, elastic cloud architecture and applications in AWS
  • Experience with AWS RDS or another SQL, NoSQL database engines
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Grafana, AWS CloudWatch and logging tools (e.g. Splunk, Sumologic, Graylog, ELK)
  • Strong understanding of AWS application services including SQS, SNS, Lambda/Step Functions
  • Proficiency with core AWS networking and compute services (EC2, autoscaling groups, VPC, Route53)
  • One or more of the AWS Associate level certifications (Developer, Solutions Architect, SysOps)
  • Docker/Kubernetes experience is a plus
  • Basic network infrastructure and management experience.
