Title: Development Operations Engineer, Sr.

Location: Hyderabad


DevOps Engineer who’s ready to help us improve our customer experience by building functional systems that bring our business to new heights. You’ll need to have strong experience in Amazon Web Services, because you’ll be creating cloud formation templates to build AWS services to support custom Java applications—which means you’ll need to be fluent in Java, too. As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll also be working in conjunction with like-minded departments such as software engineering to deploy these new products and manage our infrastructure, associated processes and systems. It’ll definitely help for you to be detail-oriented and a skilled problem solver, because you’ll also be helping us to streamline our processes—and automating them where applicable

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • The candidate will have a strong technical background with experience working on medium to large scale environments.
  • Good Knowledge and Experience with Linux and other operating systems.
  • Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Python, Docker.
  • Previous experience working with SaaS or cloud Infrastructure
  • Production experience in AWS distributed and hybrid cloud application architectures and Good knowledge on AWS services like Security Group, Load Balancers, S3, IAM, Network, EC2, CloudWatch, RDS etc.
  • Experience with one or more tools such as JIRA, Confluence, PagerDuty, Ambari, Spark and Splunk.
  • Experience in scaling large-scale transaction production systems for operational resiliency
  • Hands on experience with AWS services like Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Elastic Load-balancers, Auto Scaling.
  • Experience in performance tuning at OS level.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to provide technical support, troubleshooting and complex problem resolution on escalated issues while monitoring and maintaining application environment stability.
  • Provide support during large scale scheduled maintenance and disaster recovery efforts
  • Configure Linux system and Middleware according to documented guideline
  • Identify, research, and develop system process improvements and recommends them to management for implementation/automation
  • Create, use and maintain resource documentation for reference and troubleshooting problems
  • Create and follow change requests in accordance with change management policy
  • This position operates in a 24x7x365 environment. Participate in the rotating "on call" schedule with other members of the team.
  • Running AWS-based automation, system level automation and troubleshooting issues when they arise.
  • Experience in Build Release management, setting up CI/CD pipelines, managing various tools required in the software lifecycle, Scripting in shell, Python, Groovy or Java and UNIX / Linux System administration

What You Will Need:

 Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering Technology or technical degree and/or certifications.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Windows and Linux systems administration
  • Strong Middleware experience installing, configuring and tuning Weblogic/ Jboss/WildFly/Apache/JVM tuning along with understanding and knowledge of relational databases
  • Understanding of High Availability and Scalability techniques
  • Extensive experience troubleshooting complex server infrastructure and network environments.
  • Experience with server configuration automation tools and automating processes.
  • Experience administering a production-state system and interacting directly with customers.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in building, administering and deploying automated systems.
  • Linux and Windows OS administration
  • A general understanding of cloud technologies and/or experience with AWS (EC2, ELB, S3, VPC, SES).
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Shell, Batch)
  • Experience with AWS Cloud automation tool set is a plus
  • Good understanding of System level security
  • Experience with any industry standard monitoring solution is a plus
  • A general understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, and related protocols
