Director, Accounting

Location: ALPHARETTA, GA preferred, or Remote USA

Position Summary:

The Corporate Finance team responsibilities include debt, stock comp, derivatives, goodwill and long-lived asset impairment analyses, and M&A and divestiture accounting and reporting.  The Director of Accounting will share oversight of recurring Koch reporting requirements (GAAP & Econ NIAT), including quarterly & annual disclosure templates and implementing/managing Econ Ledger management & monitoring best practices.  The Director, Accounting will bring technical accounting expertise to the team, including the ability to independently research issues and present conclusions, write white papers, etc. and will build this expertise within their team.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

·       Manage many parts of the monthly close and global consolidation of Infor financials. The Corporate Accounting team’s direct responsibilities include debt, stock comp, RPU’s, derivatives, goodwill and long-lived asset impairment analyses, and M&A and divestiture reporting

·       Oversight of recurring Koch reporting requirements (GAAP & Econ NIAT), including quarterly & annual disclosure templates and implementing/managing Econ Ledger management & monitoring best practices

·       Key contributor and reviewer of the audited annual US GAAP financials and footnotes, interim quarterly GAAP financials, and lender presentation decks with proforma results

·       Bring technical accounting expertise to the team, ability to independently research issues and present conclusions, write white papers, etc. The goal is to build the expertise within this team

·       Assist the Corp Controller with managing the consolidated US GAAP annual audit, serving as a primary liaison and relationship manager with external auditors

·       Establish and maintain US GAAP accounting policies and practical guidance, including overseeing the adoption and implementation of new standards

·       Develop and mentor staff in Corporate Accounting. Set strong example of MBM and guiding principles, help instill best practices and continually push high standards across the team

·       Ideal candidate is someone who enjoys and can lead transformation, an “idea” person, who can partner with the Corp Controller to grow and evolve all of Corp Finance and our Accounting group

What You Will Need:

·       Excellent research and analytical skills with high level of accuracy and attention for detail

·       Microsoft Office experience to include intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel including advanced formulas, links, and pivot tables.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Self-motivated with the ability to multitask in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

·       Ability to work as a team player and strive for growth within the department and company

·       Experience in a large company environment

·       Supervisory/Leadership experience

What Will Put You Ahead?

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA or CPA track preferred.

·       Experience at a Big 4. Technical accounting experience, research, and documentation of findings

·       Software industry experience
