Description & Requirements
As a Public Sector Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing large, strategic projects from initiation through delivery and leading consulting team members on billable implementation, migration, enhancement, or integration projects that often involve business process reengineering. You will be accountable for managing the client project to ensure that all targets and requirements are met and ensure billable projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
80% Responsible for billable projects from initiation through delivery
- Accountable for ensuring that billable projects remain on schedule and within budget
- 80% of the Project Managers time is billable out of a standard 2,080-hour year
- Confirms projects are completed according to plan; maintains and updates project plans, financial, and profitability to include resource scheduling, revenue forecasting, billing reconciliations, expense report and time approval for project work
- Informs client and Infor resources informed of project progress, complete weekly Project Status Reports, Bi-Weekly dashboard reports, participate in weekly PM meetings and communicate appropriately with Executive Sponsor / department leadership through written and verbal communication
- Remains aware of any potential problems and works to mitigate any risks
20% responsible for managing the Infor Consulting business through accurate project accounting
- Provide timely and accurate updates to all internal reporting and tracking systems
- Ensure all project resources are identified, forecasted, and staffed
- Complete timely and accurate client invoicing and monitors outstanding receivables
- Effectively utilize Infor’s global and remote delivery capabilities
- Comprehend how to profitably delivery both Time and Material; as well as, Fixed Fee contracted engagements
- Pursue incremental revenue through presenting and offering relevant services under Infor Organization
- Maintain PMP and Infor PM Certifications; as well as, all required training
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience implementing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems for Professional Services/Consulting organization (HCM ERP software implementations)
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar annualized services budget as an ERP implementation Project Manager
- Knowledge of at least one structured ERP implementation methodology
- Top-tier ERP implementation experience (Infor, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and experience implementing or managing Cloud-based ERP software
- Excellent time management, communication skills, decision-making ability, presentation, human relations, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Hands-on experience in MS Projects and other MS Office products competencies
Preferred Qualifications:
- ERP Project Management experience with Big-4 or with large Global Service Integrators
- Experience managing projects that involve strategic business process reengineering
- Experience with Infor ERP software
- Understanding of Public Sector projects
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience
- PMP, PRINCE2, or any other equivalent professional/corporate certification or degree/diploma in PM from an accredited university
