Position Summary

As a Development Support Engineer, you are the linking pin between the Infor Support organization and the Development team. You will respond to incoming support issues that cannot be handled by Infor Support. You will analyze the issues and propose solutions. You will work with your DevSupport peers in both India and the U.S. Issues that are caused by flaws in the software will be analyzed together with the Development team. You will work within a multidisciplinary agile development team in close collaboration with other skilled software engineers, QA engineers, architects and business analysts. You determine your daily tasks in coordination with these colleagues rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you.


Key Responsibilities

·       Resolve client’s questions or problems over the telephone or internet in the areas of system configurations/setups, product functionality, and bugs/enhancements

·       Proactively keep the stakeholders informed of how and when problems are resolved

·       Work with customers, internal Consultants, Support teams, and Development to resolve customer issues. Troubleshoot application issues.

·       Work with customers and internal development teams for the adoption of Infor OS products.

·       Troubleshoot integration issues with Infor products.

·       Work proactively to reduce the turnaround time.

·       Install, deployment and configuration of Infor software on Amazon VMs.


 Key Requirements/Experience

  • Bachelor or Master of Technology in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics Engineering
  • Java development skills;
  • Amazon Web Services, especially EC2, S3, SQS, ELB, OpenSearch;
  • Database skills in native SQL;
  • Several years of experience in a software development or support environment;
  • Analytical, accurate and result driven;
  • Proactive problem solver;
  • Good communication skills (written and oral) in English;
  • Experience with and enjoys working within an international agile development environment;
  • Preferred: knowledge of Azure, container architectures (Docker, Kubernetes)
