SUMMARY: Infor is seeking a DevOps Engineer to work closely with other IT team members to understand the applications and insure they are proactively maintained by way of: documentation maintenance, monitoring, providing proactive support, and architecture maintenance – while insuring the environments align with IT strategies and Infor’s standards. They also continually work to identify manual and inefficient processes and apply all available resources to streamline, automate, and document more efficient and automated processes.
DevOps Engineers are team members of an agile deployment process. They are responsible for the implementation of applications’ deployment and configuration activities. Other responsibilities include working with internal business partners to refine requirements, prototype, architect, implement/update/upgrade solutions, building and executing test plans, performing quality reviews, managing operations, and triaging and fixing operational issues.
Candidates must be able to adjust to constant business change; common types of changes include new requirements, evolving goals and strategies, and emerging technologies. Candidates also require the ability to interact, develop, engineer, and communicate collaboratively at the highest technical levels with clients, vendors, partners, and all levels of Infor staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively maintain system stability through monitoring and proactive maintenance of environments
- Drive innovations to improve availability, reliability and performance
- Implement and improve upon automated system and application monitoring
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated by customers and partners
- Completion of code deployments/releases
- Expand automation of manual or inefficient processes
- Create documentation related to application architecture
- Work closely with the other teams to manage and extend infrastructure, monitoring and application stability
- Participation in on-call rotation
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Background in scripting and/or coding
- Proven communications skills
- Ability to work with multiple internal and external teams in order to drive projects
- Proven ability to diagnose Windows Server internals
