Description & Requirements

The Computer Technician will work with a team in a manufacturing environment producing, repairing, and refurbishing Point of Sale (POS) equipment. Position requires attention to detail, solving and diagnosis hardware, software and network problems on Windows and Linux platforms.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Configuring and repairing Point of Sales, Kiosk, Tablets, Printers, Scanners, and various peripherals
  • Troubleshooting customers networks
  • Creating, testing, and running ad hoc software scripts
  • Mentoring customers on the use and basic troubleshooting of the hardware systems installed at customer sites
  • Working with several third-party teams
  • Electrical assembly

Required skills:

  • Experience with computer technology
  • Experience repairing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) to the component level
  • Experience installing, configuring, and testing equipment
  • Familiarity of Microsoft products including WIN10, SQL, and server
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Technical post secondary degree/diploma
  • Component level troubleshooting
