Description & Requirements
Performs tasks requiring planning, scheduling and testing to ensure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Communicates with product developers and technical support specialists on product issues.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
- Works with project teams, content experts and more senior QA analysts to define and execute test plans; creates and documents manual and automated test cases based on design and requirements.
- Reviews user documentation and training materials for accuracy.
- Maintains or generates data needed to test scenario/scripts; documents test scripts in a common repository.
- Works with a team of Quality Assurance Analysts/Engineers in the identification, development, creation and improvement of the testing processes/framework.
- Reviews metrics and reports on test results/status.
- Ensures adherence to QA process best practices including defect management, test case execution and metrics reporting, requirements traceability.
- Develops an understanding of the Manufacturing - OM, SCM, S&D and incorporates this into the test requirements, design, cases and scripts.
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline (may need additional training in skills to fulfill the basic responsibilities of the position.
- 3+ years’ experience in development, research, product testing or support.
- Knowledge of software development processes, models, lifecycles and methodologies.
- Functional experience in the functional and/or technical area of the products.
- Experience in test-planning, designing, defect tracking and test case/script creation and execution.
- Demonstrates a systematic and logical approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of ERP and Financial systems K
- Knowledge relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle
- Good communication skills – verbal and written.
What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in software development, testing and support
- 4-year college degree in Software Systems or equivalent
- Ability to maintain high quality standards in writing and executing test cases, bug reporting and verification
- In-depth knowledge of industry standard QA methodologies
- Ability to analyze and understand requirements, accurately estimate task durations and meet schedules.
- Knowledge of and experience of testing tools
- Experience with testing business application software functionality
- Previous QA experience on large applications (Manufacturing, Financials)
- Knowledge of robotic testing tools
