Description & Requirements

A Software Engineer fixes application bugs, create larger and/or more complex/unique projects or enhancements, evaluates project needs and develops programs, processes and/or specifications to address, conducts unit testing through manual execution or automation, to maintain and expand the HR Talent application and address customer reported issues within the Service Level Objective.

What You Will Need?

  • Bachelor's degree or similar in software engineering, information technology, or computer science
  • At least 3  years of programming background/experience (Java or any OOP languages)
  • Work experience includes development of new programs or significantly large feature enhancements, maintenance and involvement on database design/structure changes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must have attended trainings or courses on any Object Oriented Programming Language
  • Ability to develop and interpret technical plans/designs
  • Willing to learn and work with a proprietary programming language
  • Willing to participate on on-call support tasks and activities as necessary during regular, mid-shift, weekend, holidays, or deployments
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

A Day In A Life Typically Includes: 

  • Performs design, implementation and maintenance of products while complying with SDLC processes and coding standards
  • Performs system administration and performance troubleshooting in development and customer environments
  • Provides product release support.
  • Performs design, implementation and maintenance of single product modules/sub-systems or on lower level issues of multiple products.
  • Prepares & conducts the unit testing (both manual or automated) and integration testing for functionality and limits
  • Performs bug verification, release testing and beta support
  • Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions
  • Prepares program documentation of product components.
  • Ensures products conform to design or usability requirements
  • Conducts peer review, impact analysis of code changes, root cause analysis and other standard processes in the SDLC.
  • Handles regulatory compliance maintenance
