Position Summary

 

The successful Solution Consultant (SC) provides expertise to Infor prospects and customers in support of Infor Nexus license revenue and customer success.  The successful SC possesses a strong business acumen and expertise in international transportation and logistics.  In addition, a successful candidate will work closely with the sales organization to provide compelling solutions, presentations and demonstrations while becoming the trusted advisor of our customers.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Orchestrate discovery workshops and the Supply Chain Assessment process to extract critical information from the prospect and gain a position of “trusted advisor”
  • Rapidly associate prospects problems/goals to underlying value drivers, understand how improvements will be measured, and who is responsible for delivering improvements
  • Work with prospects to quantify the value of problem resolution (ROI development).
  • Develop key engagement deliverables including executive overview presentations highlighting key challenges and business impact, participant network diagrams, information exchange blueprints, detailed benefits analysis, phased deployment recommendations, and project Statements of Work
  • Develop and deliver a solution presentation coupled with a product demonstration that highlights the key engagement deliverables.
  • Serve as internal conduit between Sales and other functional areas (sales, product, delivery, support, pricing, etc).
  • Work with Product Management to transfer customer feedback & product enhancement suggestions in specific areas of responsibility
  • Work with Product Management to develop and deliver product capability updates and roadmaps to prospects during the sales cycle.
  • Assist in strategic business development opportunities with partners, alliances and analysts.
 

What You Will Need:

  • Existing detailed knowledge of supply chain execution and business processes
  • Experience in global supply chain operations and concepts
  • Experience in enterprise-class technology applications, especially cloud delivery model
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Sales/business development experience in either transportation/logistics/finance or software
  • Working knowledge of business-to-business electronic communications (EDI, XML, etc.)
  • Demonstrated desire to secure new business as an individual contributor
  • Passion for contributing to a growing business and fostering a team atmosphere
  • Ability to travel up between 25% and 40%

What Will Put You Ahead?

  • Industry/vertical knowledge of international transportation and logistics that will ensure credibility when interacting across various levels of a prospect organization.
  • Presales or sales background required.
  • Demonstrated and measurable success in a sales or presales role.
  • Possesses a business value acumen that will enable the quick identification benefit areas and organizational knowledge that allows the association of value to various roles within an organization.
  • This will include the demonstration of differentiating product capabilities.
