Senior Director, Learning Portfolio

Position Summary: The person in this role will ensure alignment of the learning portfolio with Infor and Infor Education’s strategy. The Senior Director, Learning Portfolio supports and validates the strategic direction for a student’s learning journey and experience to maximize value to Infor employees, partners and customers.  This includes providing value by identifying new product opportunities and deciding how to improve packaging and presentation of portfolios in such a way to improve content adoption.  The position directly reports to the VP, Learning Products and Strategy, and manages a team of Learning Portfolio managers and directors.

Close collaboration with learning stakeholders is critical to succeed in this role. Stakeholders include Education Curriculum owners and Instructional Designers, Product Managers, Infor partners, customers, and Infor internal groups, including Education Services Delivery, Product Management and Development, Support, Consulting, and Product Documentation.

Infor Education Services learning programs currently include 5000+ learning assets delivered in traditional classrooms and virtual classrooms, as well as web based and self-paced/video training courses. The offer is sold transactionally and included in subscriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Mentor Portfolio Managers to develop their growth, adopt agile principles and help them implement MBM best practices
  • Develop new learning products to address the needs of user personas or develop new capabilities within existing products to incease user adoption
  • Guide the Portfolio Managers in the identification of learning gaps in the portfolio that should be filled leveraging 21st Century learning methodolgy, work with various resouceses in the resolution of those GAPs, and collaborate with all Infor Education Sales & Services teams in the successful launch of updates to the dynamic and varied portfolios
  • Recommend the largest revenue opportunities that fit with business objectives in collaboration with the Senior Director, Learning GTM Strategy
  • Oversee strategic initiatives, projects, processes, and performance reports, and provide updates to stakeholders and senior management regarding portfolio performance and team value-add
  • Establish and execute the short and long-term portfolio team roadmap and strategic initiatives, guide the Portfolio Managers in the creation and execution of domain specific portfolios and consolidate the overall plan for a cohesive view of proposed and delivered learning journey
  • Build relationships, collaborate, with stakeholders including Product Management, Sales, Support, and Customer Success, as well as relationships with partners and customers; establish Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within all audiences that may be leveraged to influence or validate learning plans and targeted assets
  • Collaborate with Infor Education Operations on the overall governance of learning assets as they are warehoused in the LMS, and in conjunction with Learning Development, ensure a easily audited/curated set of assets that are relevant to Infor audiences
  • Evangelize the value proposition of the entire offering suite to users, buyers, partners, and C-level executives
  • Assist VP, Learning Products and Strategy to deliver on business goals, product roadmap, long-term product vision, and team’s strategic initiatives to deliver client satisfaction

Experience and Skills:

  • Relentless customer focus and passion
  • Product or portfolio management experience in a product leadership role
  • Ability to prioritize across the whole of a solution portfolio based on company goals and to drive focus
  • Agile product management experience with an ability to work iteratively and incrementally with curriculum leads and design teams
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to make data-driven decisions by turning data into business insights and use to solve problems and capitalize on opportunities
  • Proven track record to deliver customer value and projects in an agile way with an eye for continuous improvement
