Description & Requirements

Infor Public Sector team is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will be an energetic person who will drive how the company deploys, verifies, and monitors our applications and services. This person will interface with all stakeholders to define DevOps processes and shape the development culture. This role also assists in the ongoing improvement of CI/CD environment provisioning and development workflows. You will ensure that they have appropriate levels of monitoring and alerting set up for all applications.

What You Will Need?
  • At least 3 years of relevant DevOps experience
  • Strong work experience with server infrastructure management in Windows and Linux.
  • Working experience with AWS cloud platforms and virtualization. 
  • Proficient in scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Ruby or Python and openness to adding the others as required.
  • Experience in implementing Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment Automation
  • Familiar with continuous integration tools, like Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo, Go CD
  • Familiar with agile work management principles and tools.
  • Amendable to report onsite 3x a week.

  • Advanced job-related certifications preferred but not required.  Technical certifications are a plus.
  • Persistent desire to innovate, automate, and continually improve processes 
  • Experience implementing Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment Automation
  • Capacity to take initiative and be a self-starter.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.    
  • Able to think and react positively and professionally when faced with obstacles.
  • Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills
  • A Team player and can work effectively and collaborate on projects in a remote set-up.
A Day In A Life Typically Includes:
  • Architect, design and support continuous integration and delivery pipeline.
  • Drive technical innovation and efficiency in cloud infrastructure operations via automation
  • Become thoroughly familiar with all compliance and security requirements, adhering to all policy and standards, adapting to CI/CD platform as needed.
  • Ensure pipeline platforms are redundant and backed up as needed.
  • Proactively maintain system stability through monitoring and proactive maintenance of environments.
  • Scripting tasks relative to platforms support and service delivery.
  • Lead and facilitate after hours deployment efforts as needed.
  • Open change tickets as needed to facilitate release automation processes.
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately, deferring to management on communicating with external teams as needed.
  • Support development and QA teams in their deployment efforts as needed.
  • Attend departmental, project and general meetings and effectively represent current status as appropriate.
  • Work with your team to drive process improvements, test-driven development, and DevOps practice
  • Participate in an on-call support rotation for providing after-hours support.
