Description & Requirements

The Development Intern will work closely with our development team to design, implement, and test software solutions for real-world applications. Over the course of the internship, they will contribute to active projects, gain practical experience with coding, debugging, and software development best practices, and have the opportunity to work with modern development tools and frameworks.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
  • Assist in designing, coding, and debugging software applications using various programming languages and frameworks.
  • Participate in the development of automated tests, identify bugs, and work with the team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other team members to support the development and enhancement of products.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including code comments, user guides, and project documentation to ensure clear communication and knowledge sharing.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a degree or certification program.
  • Experience in a programming language such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of core computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
  • Ability to complete full 12-week internship working 40 hours per week (May-August 2025).
  • Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2026.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
  • Experience working with modern development frameworks or libraries (e.g., React, Django, Spring Boot).
  • Basic understanding or experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Previous experience working on software development projects, whether through internships, school projects, or personal initiatives.
  • Understanding of agile software development practices such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with databases, including relational (e.g., SQL) and/or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Firebase) systems.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as JUnit, PyTest, or Selenium.
