Description & Requirements

A Junior IT role supporting Windows Servers. The team resolves user issues and manages the HCL BigFix application and infrastructure and deploys software and security patches to all endpoints. The role is based in Manila with no requirement to travel other than to the Infor office as required. 

What You Will Need?
Basic Qualification:
Familiarity with Windows operating systems
Basic understanding of network technologies, especially TCP/IP networks
Effective interpersonal / communication abilities
Work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals
Basic understanding of how to manage IT support incidents
Willingness to adhere to the principles of PBM
Willingness to learn new skills and ability to develop new capabilities in a timely manner


What Will Put You Ahead?
Nice to have:
Appreciation of responsible working practices when working with servers
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems with Windows systems would be useful
Familiarity with the importance of patching systems and applications
Interest in Systems Management tools and technologies would be helpful
Some interest in software deployment / scripting / automation
Ability to write concise and easy to understand documentation would be a bonus
Some analytical ability and capability to develop accurate and concise reports 

A Day In A Life Typically Includes:
Maintenance and Support of Windows Servers by managing and resolving IT Sysadmin-related Tickets in association with users or application / business owners
Managing and maintaining our Systems Management environment 
Patching and Vulnerability Management
Supporting all users of our Systems Management application 
Hardware asset management using our CMDB
New server builds and server operating system upgrades (on-prem and cloud)
Building and deployment of software packages for our Server / Workstation environment
Supporting the Tier1 Sysadmin group in the carrying out of their tasks
Participation in IT projects
Creating / Updating team documentation
