Description & Requirements

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Associate Accountant will be required to assist and support in a wide range of general functions performed by the Pacific Finance Department. 

This is a role that requires a highly capable, self-motivated person with the willingness required to acquire the knowledge, experience and skills to progress to higher levels of duties and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with:      

  • Month End/Quarter End closing
  • Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Compliance & internal governance
  • AP & AR functions, both internal and external stakeholders
  • AR function backup
  • Compliance requests from internal and external stakeholders
  • Accreditations and supplier panels
  • RFP’s and related requests
  • Local Channel Partners (commissions statements, ad-hoc queries, and invoices)
  • Statistical surveys
  • Local compliance reporting
  • Administration of global mobility
  • Local statutory audits
  • Direct and indirect tax
  • Other general duties & ad-hoc projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years proven experience in accounting/business administration
  • Strong administrative skills, detail oriented, confident, self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task with a pragmatic work style
  • Effective time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, in person and over the phone and can maintain professionalism and confidentiality with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & Word skills

Preferred Qualifications

·       Accounting, business or commerce bachelor's degree with view to progressing to CA/CPA/IPA
