Infor Decision Analytics and Science (IDEAS) team is responsible for setting the innovation strategy at Infor. We are a diverse, well-integrated, and customer-focused team of scientists, engineers, solution architects, application developers, and product managers. Business Intelligence (BI) engineers in IDEAS are the eyes and ears of every AI solution. They provide the "eyes" by delivering business context to AI results through visualization and the "ears" by ensuring that business decision-makers are informed and can react to changing conditions or trends in the data. This role requires and expands your technical expertise in a wide variety of technologies to embed AI into business processes.  

As a senior business intelligence engineer, you will contribute to the development of highly automated, robust, reusable, explainable, and self-served AI solutions that are rapidly deployed and managed at scale. You will rely on a combination of analytics and technical expertise to turn the data vision into reality. You will work closely with science, engineering, and business teams to deliver actionable insights from AI solutions to business users through interactive visualizations, reports, BI dashboards, KPIs, and alerts.   


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to understand and refine BI requirements for the AI solutions. 
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, reports, and relevant analytics to provide actionable insights from AI solutions. 
  • Translate requirements to technical specifications for the BI solution. 
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Infor Birst solutions to drive key business decisions. 
  • Build semantic data layer, data model and data pipelines to support BI solutions. 
  • Process large data and ensure that it’s clean and compliant with the designed interfaces.  
  • Define and implement metrics that provide visibility into data quality.  
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data and reporting issues. 
  • Implement automated workflows to update Birst solutions on a periodic basis. 
  • Support data insights initiatives through story telling. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest Infor Birst features, updates, and best practices. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest development in the Infor Platform Technology that includes Data Fabric, AI/ML, API Gateway, Mongoose, Analytics and Reporting, User Experience, and an Integration Platform. 
  • Plan and provide timely updates to tasks in JIRA.  

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Information Technology, or a related quantitative discipline from an accredited university. 
  • Relevant experience in designing and implementing BI solutions with Infor Birst. 
  • Strong understanding of business intelligence and analytics concepts. 
  • In-depth understanding of data modeling and ETL processes. 
  • Proficiency in SQL and understanding of database concepts. 
  • Knowledge of REST or SOAP API. 
  • A strong collaborative mindset with great interpersonal skills to help solve complex business problems. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Infor Birst certification.  
  • Experience with other BI tools e.g., QlikView, Power BI, Tableau, etc.  
  • A proven desire to continue learning new technologies and techniques. 
  • Experience in Infor OS. 
  • Programming experience in python. 
  • Knowledge of advanced AI/ML techniques. 
  • Relevant experience in business applications with focus on Infor ERP solutions. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a broad range of audiences.
