Description & Requirements
Technician is required to support End Users with laptop hardware, general application support, and execution of audio-visual operations and support at Infor. The involvement varies from large in-person events to in-office meetings involving video conferencing, and project coordination. Support will be provided via telephone, email, and direct interaction with end users. This support will include remote assessment and resolution of problems, proper routing and escalation of problems within the IT organization, and in general a contribution to the successful use of Information Technology. This role will be based in a company office location but travel to other offices inside and outside the country may be required. This is not a contract role, but a full-time employee with benefits.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Graduated in Electronics/Computer Science (B.Sc., B.Tech, Diploma in AV/Electronics)
· 2 – 4 years of IT Support experience on Laptops, and AV equipment
· In-depth Knowledge and experience with Windows 11 and Mac OS.
· Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, Linux, Cloud Technologies, Virtualization
· Knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Linux Platform, and All General applications like MS Office, Adobe, and VPN in installing and supporting.
· Installing and supporting printers
· Knowledge of network architectures and data communication protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
· Experience with IT ticketing tools.
· Good verbal and written communication skills (English)
· Strong analytical skills
· Strong interpersonal skills, must be able to interact with personnel in multiple business roles
· Proficiency with Microsoft Teams
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell/Python) – added advantage
RESPONSIBILITIES:
General
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems according to company policy.
- Equipe technical support to users on laptops, printers, and Audio and video equipment.
- Support multiple internal and SaaS-based applications and platforms.
- Consulting with end-users to determine needs and provide user assistance.
- Liaise with hardware vendors in resolving issues on equipment.
- Upkeep of all AV equipment
- AV support of meetings, troubleshooting conferences, audio issues, and team problems
- Assist with table, microphone, and audio and video conferencing setup for high-profile, in-office meetings
- Provide thought leadership and guidance around best practices—technical specifications, teleconferencing, AV presentations, PowerPoint, Video, Audio Mixing, AV Technology
- Manage third-party vendors and suppliers, as needed
- Operate AV equipment during meetings and events
- Work closely and interface across teams as required to support various events including IT, Facilities, and Executives
· Ready to work any shift (No need for night shifts)
