Description & Requirements
The Infor Cloud team is looking for a software and system professional to help deploy and operate software services into public cloud through automation. The Associate DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and deploying highly available, highly scalable applications for one or more environments/systems and work as a member of the Agile/Scrum team daily for the maintenance, upkeep, and integrity of these environments. In this role, you will provide expertise in the use of Cloud reference architectures and solutions to support software development in a DevOps environment. You will also leverage the applications of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field and apply general knowledge of other related disciplines. The Associate DevOps Engineer will support technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems and provide analysis for approach to solutions.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
- Support and maintain AWS-hosted deployments
- Implement code and automation for cloud-based applications and microservices
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing systems and procedures
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure high quality software and timely delivery
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and complex problem resolution on escalated issues while monitoring and maintaining application environment stability
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and identify and resolve technical design issues
- Take on other projects and responsibilities as necessary
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in Python or another server-side programming language such as Java
- Previous work experience building, administering, and deploying automated systems and application deployments
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud services
- Knowledge of Jenkins or an equivalent CI tool
- Knowledge of Git and source control
- Experience with automation on Windows servers using PowerShell
- Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies
