Description & Requirements
WFM is looking for a DevOps Engineer who is ready to help us continuously improve our CI/CD pipeline and SDLC process by building functional systems that bring our business to new heights. You’ll need to have strong experience in Amazon Web Services. As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll also be working in conjunction with like-minded departments such as software engineering to deploy these new products and manage our infrastructure, associated processes and systems. It will definitely help for you to be detail-oriented and a skilled problem solver, because you will also be helping us to streamline our processes—and automating them where applicable.
Essential Duties
Will assist in many of the day-to-day tasks critical to the team’s success. These tasks will include design of continuous integration and delivery pipeline applications, various scripting and automation tasks relative to service delivery, and platforms support. Other duties will include documentation of applications and standards, maintenance of ticketing queues, general assistance with projects, ensuring security compliance, troubleshooting and SDLC support. Must be flexible with working hours.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering Technology or technical degree and/or related certifications.
5+ years experience with Linux systems administration
Understanding of High Availability and Scalability techniques
Experience troubleshooting complex server infrastructure and network environments.
Experience with server configuration automation tools and automating processes.
Ability to work as part of a team in building, administering and deploying automated systems.
A general understanding of cloud technologies and/or experience with AWS (EC2, ELB, S3, VPC, SES, ECS and EKS).
Experience with AWS Cloud automation tool set and languages such as Shell scripting(we need at least shell scripting) and Python is a plus.
Experience in data serialization languages such as YAML and JSON.
Experience in Orchestration tool such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Will be an added advantage on experience in monitoring tools such as Sumologic and Grafana.
Good understanding of System level security
Experience with any industry standard monitoring solution is a plus
A general understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, and related protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years experience with AWS Systems (EC2, EBS, ALB, NLB, ELB, S3, VPC, SSM, etc)
3+ years experience automation, scripting and development tools
Advanced job-related certifications preferred but not required.
Technical certifications are a plus.
AWS Solution Architect Certification is added advantage.
