Description & Requirements

As a member of the Development team, the Software Engineer is responsible for developing electronic messages or mappings that interfaces with banks, financial institutions and government agencies.

This position involves product maintenance and support activities, interaction with supports, consultants, product management, product architects, developers, business analysts, quality assurance and technical writers. The role spans the full product development lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications:
  •  At least 3 years working experience in electronic messaging or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) development.
  • Working experience in Java.
  • Creative problem-solving.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability working in a team environment or cross-functionally within the organization.

What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ERP knowledge is preferred.
  • Basic accounting concept.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design and programming methodologies and tools.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
  • Development electronic messages mapping using API that conform to local standards. These include delivery of localized inbound and outbound electronic messages.
  • Assist in troubleshooting electronic message related transactions and workflows.
  • Assist in transition of electronic messages to next-generation environments.
  • Review and assist in implementation of electronic message patches.
  • Implementing and monitoring, including data mapping and translation as required.
  • Developing and maintaining documentations.
  • Develops, maintains and tests electronic messages maps, related interfaces, and data communications scripts.
