Description & Requirements

Manager, Product Management to drive enhancements of our public sector product suite but also define new investments. As a public sector Product Manager within Research & Development, you will be responsible for managing our offerings within the local, state and utilities solutions. You will act as the voice of the customer with a strong emphasis on being able to define product requirements and manage these throughout the entire product lifecycle. As a strong collaborator and networker, you will work with colleagues and stakeholders around the world to ensure successful product launches.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • This role will manage functional duties of associate product manager(s).
  • Understand the target users’ needs and business problems. Accordingly, develop short and long-range business plans for product lines consistent with market needs and corporate strategic objectives.
  • Determine the total market for the product line to justify the investment and to measure whether market share objectives are being met.
  • Gather product’s customer/market requirements from all global regions and across different customer segments and industries. Collaborate with product owners/business analysts, peers, partners/suppliers, and other stakeholders to build an idea for a feature or function.
  • Act as the representative of the business during development.
  • Ensure that Business Management has correct information at each stage in the development process to make informed Go/No Go decisions. This requires sound business acumen and economic thinking.
  • Lead the definition of the product’s customer values and competitive differentiation to be used in the development of the commercial messaging for the product launch artifacts, trade show materials, and other commercial opportunities.
  • Responsible for coordinating with Sales, Commercial Marketing, Solution Architects and Training Center.
  • This role will travel 10-15% to customers on an “as needed" basis. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Product management experience
  • Domain knowledge and experience related to asset management and billing in public sector solutions; Experience from relevant industries, markets and used to interact with customers and partners.
  • Ability to adapt and operate in a high-paced tech organization and lead by influence within a team environment to achieve objectives.
  • Presentation, leadership skills and interest to learn professional industry trends and new technologies.
  • Experience working as part of a global team and in agile software development.
  • Experience in working with Infor Hansen products and familiar with competitive products in the same domain. 
  • Familiarity with product management frameworks like Pragmatic and experience in using road mapping tools like Aha!

Location:  US Remote (Alpharetta, GA; St. Paul, MN; Dallas, TX)
