Description & Requirements

Must have mobile programming expertise and can make high-level design choices and technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Will be asked to participate in software requirements meetings and design review meetings to ensure requirements/design are translated into code during the development life cycle.

 Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or any related course
  • Has mobile programming expertise and can make high-level design choices and technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.
  • Strong technical knowledge in software development methodologies, implementation, and quality control
  • Hands-on experience in mobile and backend development using any of the following:
    • Experience in Object-Oriented Programming a must
    • Backend: IIS, MS SQL/Oracle, REST API creation & consumption a must
    • Quality/Testing: Unit Testing experience a must, Test Driven Development (TDD) a plus, Design Patterns (ex. Facade, Factory, Decorator, etc.) preferred, S.O.L.I.D. Principles
    • Version control: SVN a must, GIT / Github a plus
    • Experience in Service Oriented Architecture preferred
    • Experience in using collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence preferred
  • Experience in working in an Agile method with Scrum process a plus.
  • Open to candidates with Android or iOS mobile development experience
  • Passionate about mobile application development, digital innovation and new technologies.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
  • Work cooperatively and supportively with a team of cross-functional developers in delivering quality software applications end-to-end. Deliver expected requirements according to schedule and specifications.
  • Participate in software requirements meetings and/or kickoffs to understand Software requirements and scope.
  • Write reusable, testable, efficient codes. Maintain and apply new codes in different branches or development versions of the system whenever applicable.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness to any technical requests whether requirements analysis, development, testing, maintenance or support
  • Maintain documentations required in the development life cycle (e.g. Software Design Documents) for references and future use.
  • Provide project plan and correct estimates of work to be done on maintenance tickets, software changes, and other development tasks.
  • Provides accurate and complete status reports to project leads.
  •  Assist junior developers in both technical and functional aspects of maintenance/development
  • Execute thorough code reviews on fixes for defects and bugs 
  • Researches new technologies or development tools to improve productivity and or existing functionalities and performance indexes of the system.
