Vendor Risk Analysts is responsible for examining and monitoring the relationship between the Company and its vendors. This position will be involved in implementing the initial and on-going risk assessments and due diligence reviews used to monitor the vendor’s performance and activities.

A Day In The Life Could Include:

  • Facilitate vendor risk lifecycle activities in coordination with business lines and vendor relationship owners to obtain appropriate vendor monitoring documentation and conduct risk analysis tasks
  • Perform timely due diligence reviews on new and existing vendor relationships consisting of risk assessments, reputational monitoring, and operational control environment reviews appropriate for the risk level of the vendor using Vendor Risk Assessment tooling
  • Conduct where needed, administrative and regulatory review of contracts and other legal documents, and if applicable, participate in the contract negotiation process
  • Establish strong partnerships with vendor relationship owners and specialist area stakeholders (Information Security Office, Compliance, Business Continuity, Legal and VMO) as well as external third parties to facilitate periodic risk assessments and manage ongoing monitoring reviews
  • Assist in the maintenance of vendor relationship inventory, vendor files, program software, due diligence artifacts, and related documentation
  • Maintain communication with management on vendor performance, identifiable risk, exceptions, and risk mitigation plans
  • Assist in drafting and maintaining procedures for program activities
  • Initiate the VRM program, propose enhancements including providing recommendations on policy, standards, and procedures
  • Assist in developing and delivering appropriate assessments, reporting, and/or training guides to business lines and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidance along with industry best practices related to third party risk management
  • Assist with special projects/committees as requested.
  • Cross train teams and individuals involved in Vendor Management roles and responsibilities.

What You Will Need To Bring With You:

  • 2+ years related work experience in vendor management, vendor risk management, and/or strategic sourcing and procurement required
  • Effective verbal and written communication and organization skills
  • General understanding of information security, business continuity/resumption, compliance, legal and audits
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of business processes
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a continual changing environment
  • Strong critical and analytical skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate potential risks identified during the initial and ongoing monitoring process in writing
  • Accurately input data
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Not accepting any Status Quo, able to transform yourself, your team and organization
  • Self-actualize, learn from others, and share the knowledge proactively
  • Naturally comply with laws and regulations

What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management
  • Proficiency in use Vendor Risk Management Tool
  • One - two years regulatory compliance experience and/or risk experience
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira issue and project tracking
