Description & Requirements
Software Developer to join the Epiphany team that develops, maintains, and enhances the Digital Marketing applications and its components for on premise and Cloud deployments. This developer is decisive, action-oriented, learns quickly, independently, and takes ownership of open issues. The work includes a variety of activities ranging from architecting, designing, and developing new features to fixing bugs, cloud deployments, continuous integration, creating requirement & design documents to tests.
Responsibilities:
- Coding, and debugging software
- Maintain, upgrade and enhance existing software
- Review and resolve software-related findings and make required changes
- Understand client requirements and accordingly develop the code to create required features.
- Implement a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Review code to ensure quality and adherence to company standards
- Improve performance of existing software
- Communicate issues to the appropriate audience
- Recommend new technologies that can help increase productivity
- Write and maintain design specification documents
- Estimate, prioritize and refine tasks during the Sprint Planning event
- Provide timely and meaningful feedback during Sprint Retrospective event
- Investigate and develop mitigation for Security Scans
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, or related field preferred.
- At least 5 years of development experience on JAVA/J2EE applications.
- Hands on experience with Core Java, Servlets, JSP, J2EE concepts, JavaScript, Spring, Spring Boot, SOAP, REST, Microservices
- Should be able to work as individual contributor throughout the lifecycle of development.
- Hands on experience with application servers like Jboss or Weblogic, and IDE’s Eclipse or Netbeans.
- Familiarity with Angular or React JS, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, and XML
- Experience in Database (Oracle or MS SQL Server) and should be able to understand and write SQL queries.
- Debugging skills for analyzing customer issues and existing product implementation.
- Experience with any of code repositories like SVN, Mercurial, GIT etc.
- Good communication skills and comfortability speaking in customer and internal interactions
- Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task
- Quick adaptability towards learning new skills for development needs
