The ION development department is looking for a

(Senior) Software Engineer

As a (Senior) Software Engineer you are responsible for delivering high-quality software. You will work within a multidisciplinary agile development team in close collaboration with other skilled software engineers, QA engineers, architects and business analysts. You determine your daily tasks in coordination with these colleagues rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you. You will be involved in all aspects of software development and have room to grow professionally.

Location:Hyderabad

Your profile:

  • Experienced Java Application developer;
  • Analytical, accurate and result driven;
  • Good communication skills (written and oral) in English; Dutch speaking or driven to learn;
  • Proactive problem solver;
  • Experience with and enjoys working within an international agile development environment;
  • Bachelor or Master technical degree, preferably Computer Science or other technical education.

Your skills:

  • Extensive J2EE development experience (J2EE, JEE, EJB, Spring);
  • Considers and treats Unit testing as intrinsically part of his work;
  • Knowledge of enterprise-grade persistency (e.g. Hibernate, HQL, JPA);
  • Basic database development knowledge (SQL, JDBC);
  • Experience with Development tooling (e.g. Maven, Nexus, Jenkins, JIRA, subversion);
  • Experience with Object-Oriented software design.

Knowledge and experience with the following would be a big plus:

  • Cloud application development and/or general Cloud Experience;
  • Amazon Services like SQS, S3;
  • Docker;
  • GWT and/or Angular.
