Description & Requirements

The Solution Architect is responsible for proposing specific Infor solutions that fit within the customer’s business environment and business objectives to address the customer’s business problems and identify opportunities. The Solution Architect understands customer business drivers and IT environment. The Solution Architect ensures solution feasibility and proposes a roadmap to realize the solution. The Solution Architect is deployed operationally across multiple solution domains utilizing their broad knowledge of the Infor solution portfolio to identify the components required to construct the most appropriate solution for the customer. The Solution Architect is typically engaged full-time as part of the project delivery structure and has experience in multiple industry segments such as Food and Beverage, Distribution, and/or Discrete Manufacturing.

 

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Maintains up-to-date product and technical knowledge of the Infor portfolio and roadmap for an industry and/or horizontal solution set
  • Knowledge of multiple Industry sectors and can present solutions in an Industry context
  • Ability to decompose large complex problems into manageable pieces allowing communication on both business and technical levels
  • Skilled at presenting to C-level audiences focusing on demonstrating the business value of solutions rather than technical detail
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of Infor architecture engagement processes and tools
  • Knowledge of the important standards for business processes, information models, and architectural models generally applied in an industry
  • Maintains awareness of IT Industry architecture frameworks and approaches
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of business drivers & typical customer needs within an industry

 

 Sales:

  • Designs, develops, documents and delivers solution architectures that meet client needs
  • Leads architectural discussions with clients around proposed solutions
  • Determines solution approach, identifies the critical path, and defines an appropriate solution roadmap
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Ensures solution is practical and provides continuity in the implementation project

 

 Delivery:

  • Acts as the primary point of ownership with responsibility for functional solution
  • Experience in delivery of complex cross-pillar solutions utilizing Infor products
  • Challenges requirements to take advantage of the value-added provided by Infor solutions
  • Manages changes to the solution architecture due to change requests
  • Ensures that the different solution pieces built by different teams are consistent
  • Actively ensures that design/development standards are upheld

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in presenting to C-level audiences focusing on demonstrating the business value of solutions
  • ERP Implementation experience across all business process areas of Warehousing, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing and Planning, Customer Sales, Finance; or Service and Rental.
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of solution architecture engagement processes and tools
  • Knowledge and experience of the important standards for business processes, information models, and architectural models generally applied in an industry
  • Experience in supporting and participating in sales activities
  • Conceptual knowledge of OAGi standards, workflow & integration methods & techniques
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% throughout North America (US and Canada)

 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Forum) concepts in a project environment
  • Able to deploy TOGAF Architecture Development Methods (ADM)
  • Experience with multiple M3 full project life-cycle implementations as Lead Consultant or Solution Architect.
  • Up to date M3 product and technical knowledge
