Infor is looking for Windows System Administrator, who will be primarily responsible for resolving server operating system issues. 

The successful candidate will install, configure, and maintain Windows server operating system environments. Support data Centre to ensure the highest uptime.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Provides first-level end-user support for break-fix issues or proactive requests generated through a ticketing system. Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work with and provide direction for third-party vendors to resolve equipment and application problems.
  • Participation in projects and internal improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work out of hours in the event of urgent issues or critical planned maintenance and to be part of an out-of-hours support team Rota.
  • Support and Data Center activities:
  • Install and configure server hardware and operating systems.
  • Identify premature failures, schedule maintenance, and replaces parts
  • Ensure UPS power, space, cooling, and cabling requirements are available as required.
  • Ensure regular preventative maintenance schedules are performed for UPS power, cooling, fire suppression/detection, and life safety equipment.
  • Maintain monitoring systems to confirm the active status and prevent interruptions.
  • Develop technical skills inside and outside of assigned core technologies.
  • Work to promote positive teamwork and build relationships among team members and across departmental teams.

What You Will Need:

  • MBO (level 4) ICT-Beheerder, several years’ work experience.
  • Performance and troubleshooting skills, experience with physical hardware.
  • Ability to verbally present complex concepts and technical information to a non-technical audience clearly and concisely in English and Dutch.

    What Will Put You Ahead?

    • Functional knowledge of a wide range of operating systems.
    • Experience with Server hardware from Dell and HPE.
    • Experience with virtualization technology like VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
    • Experience with SAN technology like Dell Compellent and HPE. Able to support Clusters.
    • Experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds Orion, HPE OneView, and Dell Insight Manager.
    • Knowledge and ability to support cloud technology like Azure and AWS .
    • In-depth understanding of data center infrastructure, UPS, AC, power distribution, etc.
    • Driving license.

     
    Physical Requirement:

    • General office environment.
    • Ability to lift 30Kg.
