Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for network infrastructure & security operations, supporting the Data Center networks consisting of LAN, WAN, Firewalls, Security, VPN using diverse set of vendor products including but not limited to Cisco switches, routers and firewalls, Checkpoint firewalls, Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Juniper switches and routers.
• Configure network infrastructure to ensure their smooth and reliable 24x7 operation, fulfilling business objectives and customer SLA.
• IP Provisioning & management using Infoblox or similar IPAM tools
• Ensure that appropriate monitoring, alerting and logging mechanisms are in place and functioning optimally all the time using tools such as Solarwinds/LogicMonitor and familiarity with streaming telemetry
• Day-to-day proactive network and systems performance monitoring and taking corrective actions.
• Ensure stable and reliable network. Respond, troubleshoot, identify root cause and remediate issues in a complete, documented and timely manner.
• Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools such as splunk and/or SIEM tools.
• Network upgrades, hardware refreshes and OS/software upgrades and patching.
• Provide high quality customer service and network related technical support with an emphasis on issue resolution and quality.
• Work with other teams to identify the source of issues, RCA and keeping MTTR to a minimum.
• Collaborate with department leaders to assess network capacity needs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, plans, and procedures for network administration, HA, and disaster recovery.
• Assist in developing long-term strategy for data center and cloud-based services.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
? Cisco or Juniper Certification
? 5-10+ years of hands-on experience administering a production network infrastructure environment (with an uptime target 99.99% or greater) with a proactive mindset
? At least 5 years hands on experience on Juniper and/or Juniper devices with advanced skills in BGP and OSPF routing protocols, prefix list/policy statement, route redistribution import/export of routes. Design skills a plus.
? A solid understanding of data center network virtualization and supporting technologies - VRF, VXLAN, MP-BGP, PBR, EVPN
? Hands on experience working on or supporting VXLAN and/or EVPN network. Design skills a plus – On juniper
? VPN and layer 2 encryption configuration/management - knowledge and experience in IPSec VPN and MACsec
? At least 5 years hands on experience in configuration IPSec VPN tunnels on various vendor implementations and troubleshooting phase 1 and phase 2 errors, access control and routing. Experience on Check Point firewalls a plus
? Strong familiarity with Cisco and Juniper routers and switches including general LAN and WAN technologies and protocols - STP, LACP, VLAN, MPLS, MC-LAG
? 5 plus years of experience in configuration of data center switches and routers for multiple tenant environment and high availability. Hands on working on LACP and multi-chassis setups. A plus if experience on both Cisco and Juniper.
? Advanced knowledge and skills in configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting load balancers and load balancing solutions on both F5 LTMs and AWS.
? Skills in configuration and/or troubleshooting on F5 LTM for health monitors, SSL profiles, SNAT. Experience with AWS a plus
? Knowledgeable in network security procedures, best practices, and implementation of firewalls and security management solutions on Check Point and Cisco firewall and IPS platforms
? Hands on experience in configuring granular access control and inspection for traffic on Cisco or Check Point or Palo Alto Networks firewall and IPS platforms. Skills in high availability environment setup. Hands on troubleshooting experience with common protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, FTP and SMTP.
? Experience in packet capture and basic analysis is a plus
