Description & Requirements

As the Delivery Executive for Infor's most complex projects, you will be responsible for the end to end success of large, global, highly complex projects, including co-development projects involving on-premise, hybrid and cloud delivery models.  Engagement ownership is focused on successful delivery, customer retention and customer reference-ability.  The successful candidate will own the project relationship for the engagement.  You will be the primary contact for any major decision and issues for the Infor delivery teams and the customer.  You will be the liaison between the company and client in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met, including all project milestones and budgets.  To be successful, you must have the necessary leadership experience, demeanor, communication abilities and business acumen. The right person for this role will be able to communicate effectively at the executive level, as well as move up and down the value chain of the customer organization, including navigating tough conversations and challenging personalities with integrity, respect, and a blend of firmness and flexibility that creates a positive working environment while enforcing company policies and goals. To be successful, this person will need to build a strong team culture to ensure alignment on approach to challenges as well as solutions. 

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Working with Sales, Architects, Services and others to set scope, staffing and organization aspects of a new engagement. You will also work with all involved to reorganize and revise staffing and organization as needed.   80% of this role is focused on delivery (this is a billable role) and 20% is focused on presales and deal structuring.  
  • Oversee the creation of the delivery solution, scope and SOW. You will own the integrated project plan and responsibility for the oversight and execution.  You will build relationships with existing customers to ensure that they are engaged and getting the most value from our services. 
  • Frequently engage and partner with C- Level executives and conduct customer meetings--understand customer direction, anticipate and resolve issues, become the trusted advisor to the customer on engagement direction and management.  
  • Partner with Sales Executives, Regional Leads, Customer Partners, Development, and other Infor leadership to manage customer relationships.  You will provide oversight and guidance for all delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction.  You will also provide oversight to Project Manager who is day-to-day manager of the project.  
  • Work with, coach and mentor Project Manager (s).  You will also perform ongoing analysis and review of engagement(s) and one on ones with key internal and external stakeholders to assess engagement and team health and then work with rest of PM team to make any needed changes/improvements Escalations / Review.  
  • Manage critical issues/risks/contingencies/alternatives/mitigations (discuss and address with Infor team and customer).  Discuss and address development issues with the Infor team and customer.  
  • Be the primary leader in escalation mitigations and recoveries relationship management.  The Delivery Executive will proactive communication with Infor, Partner, and Customer executives.
  • Review status reports and provide feedback with project management team on a periodic cadence 
  • Conduct periodic one on ones with PMs, architects, and leads to get detail overview of issues/risks/staffing and escalations 
  • Participate in meetings such as: team project management meetings, customer meetings as appropriate, steering committee and other customer executive meetings, risk/issue meetings as well as internal executive status meetings. 
  • Identify and formulate new opportunities with customer. 
  • Assist & Review SOW details.
  • Understand and review staffing plan, budget, and schedule for work being proposed 
  • Participate & lead the negotiation discussion with customer, in cooperation with Sales and Services Financials.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Deep industry expertise in Process Manufacturing: Food and Beverage, Chemicals, Life Sciences and/Distribution. 
  • Experienced in Agile methodologies, such as Sprint Planning, Scrum Management, Epic/Feature work break-downs, Story-Pointing, Velocity Tracking, Burn-downs/Burn-ups, etc. 
  • Progressive professional services experience for an enterprise software company, ideally a cloud applications business or a systems integration consultancy firm. 
  • Strong track record of managing and successfully delivering professional service engagements, programs and projects involving complex solution sets (i.e. 7-8 solutions), on-premise, cloud and hybrid. 
  • Strong track record of selling consulting services and adding value in the sales process.
  • Proven ability to manage successful global custom and/or co-development projects and ability to simultaneously manage multiple functions, projects, priorities and time pressure.
  • P&L experience related to programs and projects.
