Revenue Analyst

Alpharetta:

 

The Revenue Recognition Analyst is responsible for reviewing contracts and establishing the related revenue recognition consistent with internal policies and US GAAP.  The Analyst will work closely with various company departments (Sales/Deal Desk/Legal etc.) to achieve this and ready contracts for customer signature.  The Analyst may also be required to assist in performing quarterly and annual standalone selling price (“SSP”) analysis as well as other associated analysis and projects.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Review software license, support, SaaS subscription and services contracts whilst they are in negotiation and establish the related revenue recognition in accordance with internal policy and US GAAP
  • Understand, interpret and apply technical accounting guidelines under ASC 606
  • Provide direction to the Business in structuring contracts to maximize revenue recognition
  • Document revenue determinations accurately and clearly in the internal systems
  • Ensure all month & quarter end close tasks are completed within deadlines
  • Enforce internal policies and procedures
  • Assist with internal or external audit queries on revenue recognition
  • Assist with performing SSP testing
  • Ad hoc tasks and other reasonable duties to fulfil the needs of the role

Basic Qualifications

  • Dedication to achieving team and personal work objectives
  • Finance / Accounting experience (E)
  • Basic usage of Excel and Word (E)
  • Hands on knowledge of software revenue recognition accounting rules under ASC 606 (D)
  • Experience of reviewing contractual terms (D)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting (D)
