We are looking for a SQL Server Database DevOps Engineer to help manage a large enterprise fleet in the cloud. The successful candidate will have deep database knowledge, a DevOps background, very strong problem-solving skills, and project management skills.  

What you will need? 

(Minimum Qualification)  

· at least 5 years of relevant experience

· Understanding of SQL Server and Microsoft Windows. This includes backups, recovery, and tuning.

· T-SQL skills.

· Problem-solving skills.

· Ability to learn new technology quickly.

· Comfortable working in a team environment.

· Project management skills.

· Amendable to report onsite at least once a week.

What Will Put You Ahead?

(Preferred Qualification)  

· Programming/Scripting skills with PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, or other scripting languages.

· Experience with Amazon Web Services or Azure or other cloud platforms

· Experience with Storage systems

· Experience with Networks  

A Day in A Life Typically Includes:  

· PowerShell and T-SQL programming and Execution

· SQL Server Database Administration and Performance-Tuning

· Participation in DevOps related processes

· Windows O.S. management and Tuning

· Backup and Recovery tasks

· Capacity planning

· Any hands-on/experience with AWS services is an added advantage.
