Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Technical Lead to join our innovative team developing the Infor Mongoose platform. Mongoose is Infor’s rapid application development platform, enabling our application teams to build business applications rapidly. As part of our highly energetic team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new capabilities in the Mongoose Framework to enhance platform UI/UX, App Development Experience, and cloud optimizations. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development guidelines.
• Collaborate with architects and other senior leaders to shape system architecture and technology direction.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members, conducting regular code reviews and pair programming sessions.
• Identify skill gaps within the team; help plan and facilitate training sessions and professional development opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative environment where team members feel supported and motivated to share ideas and contribute.
• Work with product managers, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical tasks and timelines.
• Estimate project efforts, identify risks, and plan sprints or iterations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Proactively address roadblocks and bottlenecks by proposing alternative approaches or solutions.
• Ensure that software solutions meet performance, security, and reliability standards.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of automated test suites, CI/CD pipelines, and other quality control measures.
• Continuously identify opportunities for refactoring and optimizing code to enhance system performance and maintainability.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices; evaluate their suitability for current or future projects.
• Propose and pilot new tools or processes to improve team efficiency, reduce technical debt, and enhance system scalability.
• Drive innovation within the team by encouraging creative problem-solving and exploring new technical solutions.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings, ensuring alignment on goals and deliverables.
• Communicate technical challenges, timelines, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders in an understandable manner.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or principal engineering role.
• Proven track record of leading technical projects and delivering high-quality software products.
• Strong command of one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
• Experience designing and implementing microservices, cloud-based architectures, or distributed systems.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in implementing integrations using various integrations technologies (e.g., REST APIs, SOAP, GraphQL, etc).
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (Jira)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; able to handle complex technical challenges effectively.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with various stakeholders, balancing technical requirements with business objectives.
