Description & Requirements

The Dev, Business Analyst for our ERP’s user interface is responsible for analyzing the expectations and outcomes of proposals and issues from an end-user and business process requirements perspective. As part of the UI team of an ERP solutions provider, he/she is responsible for coordinating and helping ensure the quality of the updates and new features and functions of the product for dependent teams and stakeholders. This includes analysis, crafting scenarios, reporting, and following up on issues with other development teams until their resolution. The position involves close interaction with product management, product developers, quality assurance, and technical writers. He/she is expected to possess a hands-on understanding of ERP business processes, document output, and reporting.

 

A Day in The Life Typically Includes: 

  • Helps plan, collaborate, provide regular updates, and report progress on all activities in the delivery of product updates and bug fixes to stakeholders
  • Initiates quality assurance testing of solutions with the QA and development teams
  • Crafts user- and business-process-based scenarios for testing solutions and issues encountered
  • Documents, keep track, follow up, and provide regular updates on the progress of projects or issues with responsible teams
  • Prepares all processes and documentary requirements for the release of fixes and feature updates
  • Conducts regular meetings with stakeholders, including but not limited to QA and development team representatives, to inform them of progress and any impediments
  • Helps in the alignment of expectations and priorities and facilitate decision-making with product or patch releases.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • The candidate must possess at least a bachelor's or college degree in computer science, information technology, engineering (computer/telecommunication), or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of working experience business analysis
  • Experience working within a large, cross-regional development team
  • Very good English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Assertive and able to communicate clearly and effectively

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge in the following:
    • Software quality assurance
    • Software Development Life Cycle
    • Agile Development Methodology (Scrum and Kanban)
    • Test management using the JIRA Zephyr plugin
    • Defect tracking using JIRA
    • Documentation using the Atlassian Wiki
  • Working knowledge in the ERP business processes and user interface for applications
  • Working experience with the Infor M3 ERP solution (in any industry) is a big plus
