Description & Requirements

An Associate IT Support Engineer is required to provide support to all Infor Professionals, both global and locally. Support will be provided via teams, email and direct interaction with end user on-site. This support will include remote assessment and resolution of problems, proper routing and escalation of problems within the IT organization and in general a contribution to the successful use of Information Technology at the Company. The place of work for the position will be the office in Düsseldorf.


Your Responsibilities Include

General:


  • Assisting on-site the Global IT support in Dusseldorf to deliver best-in-class service to all internal customers
  • Perform hardware/software installation and maintenance including upgrades and patch installs, replace broken and out-of-warranty machines,
  • Work on Office related tickets, mainly hands-on support in a timely manner, investigate and fix hardware and software issues
  • Take care of providing new employees with laptops, new-hires on-boarding sessions (remote/on-site)
  • Occasionally maybe 3 times a year, travelling to other sites as required to fulfill support agreements
  • Contact person with local vendors like a mobile operator, etc.
  • Possibility to join a global technology team, or international project.
  • Evaluation, installation, troubleshooting of network, email, and virus issues
  • Use of the Infor Asset Management system
  • Handle special projects with no degradation of ongoing assignments and responsibilities
  • Providing support on mobile phones (Android & Apple) and taking care of mobile subscriptions
  • Support the company Conference rooms and other Audio / Visual systems
  • Evaluation and troubleshooting of Multi-Function Copiers/Printers/Scanners

The successful candidate will be a highly professional individual with outstanding customer service skills. You must be a good team player with a flexible attitude. You must be able to work independently while being flexible enough to respond to rapidly changing priorities.

  • Good customer service skills
  •  Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with and deep knowledge of Windows 10, Apple OSX and similar operating systems
  • Ability to work independently while still adhering to Field Support Team processes and procedures
  • Ability to learn and document new and existing internal and external applications
  • Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication abilities in German and English
  • Strong interpersonal skills – must be able to interact with personnel in multiple business roles at multiple levels
  • Self-motivation and initiative, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Office 365, MS Teams and one drive for business.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks within an agreed timescale
