Description & Requirements

We are looking for talented Senior Full Stack Java Developers who can build and support the foundational components underlying the Infor Nexus Cloud. We run a 24/7 highly available cloud application that supports thousands of customers in every time zone, handles billions of dollars and integrates hundreds of components.

These requirements demand a sound technical foundation. We are hiring for the team that provides this foundation. We design frameworks that are robust against failure, libraries that measure performance, tweak JVM’s, scale data systems, ensure security, guarantee uptime and destroy tech debt.

We are a team of experienced programmers focused on delivering a stable, resilient foundation for the wider development team to build upon. We understand the whole stack, from kernel tuning to http acceleration.

We enjoy programming and problem solving. We are passionate about software and excited by our business problem. We use Java and JavaScript mostly with Python sprinkled in.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be a member of the Tunis-based Foundation Development Team powering Infor Nexus
  • Design, develop and deploy enabling scale up and scale out foundation capabilities – including:
    • Development methodologies and tooling to allow agile, robust and rational feature creation and maintenance.
    • Application Servers that provide strong performance characteristics with automated self-healing and elastic load control capabilities.
    • Frameworks, tooling and processes to enable and sustain business features, on-board customers and reduce operational load.
    • Performance and health metrics to continually measure and improve user experience.
    • Operational tools to empower the customer activation, support and health monitoring teams.
    • Cloud automation tooling to allow our applications to elastically respond to load and fault conditions.
  • Our team is responsible for understanding interactions with operating systems, virtual machines, clustering tools, data sources and cloud tooling.
  • Research and develop next generation tools to allow continued business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline.
  • Some experience in Java enterprise programming.
  • Experience with systems with at least one of the following characteristics
    • Highly available
    • High throughput / Challenging performance requirements
    • Large, complex, multi-module codebase 
  • Experience with SQL / NoSQL data sources and modeling
    • SQL: DB2 / SQL Server / MemSQL
    • NoSQL: Riak / S3 / Dynamo
  • AWS (or other cloud provider) DevOps Experience is a plus
  • Problem solving and fault discovery capability
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good English communication skills
