Job Title: IT Technical Support Specialist
Summary:
As an IT Technical Support Specialist, you will support end-users with laptop hardware, application troubleshooting, and audio-visual (AV) operations at Infor. Your role involves supporting in-person and virtual events, coordinating projects, and providing technical assistance via telephone, email, and direct interaction. You will also contribute to the efficient use of Information Technology across the organization.
This role is office-based, with occasional travel to other locations within and outside the country. It is a full-time position with benefits.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields (B.Sc, BCA, B.Tech, Diploma in AV/Electronics).
- 6–8 years of experience in IT support.
- Proficient in Windows 11, Linux (Ubuntu), and macOS.
- Expertise in laptop hardware troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Office 365, cloud technologies, and virtualization.
- Familiarity with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and general applications like MS Office, Adobe, and VPN.
- Experience in installing and supporting printers.
- Strong understanding of network architectures and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Proficiency with IT ticketing tools.
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell/Python) is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- A customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
General IT Support:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems in alignment with company policies.
- Provide technical support for laptops, printers, and audio-video equipment.
- Support internal and SaaS-based applications and platforms.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues in collaboration with hardware vendors.
Audio-Visual (AV) Support:
- Maintain and troubleshoot AV equipment for meetings and events.
- Assist with the setup of microphones, audio systems, and video conferencing for high-profile meetings.
- Operate AV equipment during meetings and events, ensuring seamless execution.
· Provide technical guidance on AV best practices, including teleconferencing and presentations.
Collaboration & Vendor Management:
- Work closely with IT, Facilities, and Executive teams to support events.
- Manage third-party vendors and suppliers as needed.
