Description & Requirements

The Business Consultant is a key component of the global Infor Consulting Services team responsible for implementing Infor products for customers around the world.


A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Develop a working knowledge of the Infor Human Capital Management (HCM) Suite’s technical infrastructure, development environments, third party products used to support the Infor HCM applications.
  • Develop strong technical consulting skills surrounding Infor HCM application (and related third party) technologies and tools to perform product customizations, modifications, and related consulting/training activities.
  • Responsible for analyzing and interpreting client requirements, drafting functional descriptions and/or programming specifications as required.
  • Maintain and update skills on the most recent releases of Infor products and applications, specifically around the Infor HCM Suite, and third-party tools to continue to provide a high level of service to Infor customers.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the Infor Deployment Methodology and tools used to provide an accurate, complete, and successful implementation, which includes organizational understanding of all the Infor positions and responsibilities as part of the implementation.
  • Maintaining regular contact with the Infor Project Manager or engagement owner and the client’s technology project team.  Coordinating communication within the Infor Consulting Services team to include identification of client expectations, critical business issues, and any pertinent information discovered during the turnover process with the sales team.
  • Complete all required documentation as part of the implementation, including status reports, exit documents, expense reporting, technical documentation, testing documentation, etc.
  • Provides clients with consulting expertise and “best practice” recommendations around enhancing the standard Infor products, tool utilization, staging of enhancements.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Experienced in the implementation of large ERP software packages.
  • Java or C#/JavaScript development experience preferably performed on ERP applications.
  • SQL development experience preferably performed on ERP applications. 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of middleware infrastructure such as Wildfly, Apache, WebLogic and WebSphere, AWS, Aurora, PostgreSQL, Cognos.
  • Eclipse IDE, setup, and remote debugged java code as necessary.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Working knowledge on integration tools and mobile applications development on C is a plus.
