描述和要求

  • You will support Cloud/Hosted customers on IBM I (AS400) in 24x7 model in major areas like OS400 (operating system 400) administration, technical administration of three ERP applications (LX, System21 and XA), upgrades (H/W and S/W) and migrations (H/W and S/W).
  • In addition to the above major functions, you will also support Cloud customers on IBM I (AS400) work, user, Job, spool file and backup management. 
  • You will also support disaster recovery tests, patch management (Operating System & ERP application) and data refresh from source to target environment (production to test).

  • 24X7 Operations
  • Monitoring
  • Backup and restores
  • Daily tickets handling
  • Change management
  • Coordinate with customers
  • Coordinate with multiple vendors on maintenance windows through ticketing portals
  • Providing training to early talents
  • Mentoring Early talents and guiding them in their tasks

Basic Qualifications :

  • AS400 administrator with 5 years of experience in operations
  • OSV7R1 and above
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting skills on OS400 issues like printers, writers, analyse messages, Startup issues, application issues etc
  • Good knowledge on monitoring tools
  • Good knowledge on Job schedulers (IBM Native or Robot)
  • Good knowledge on Backup and restores.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge on BRMS and Halcyon tools
  • Knowledge on Flash copy backups
  • Knowledge on replication tools QEDD/HASAN
  • Knowledge on Journal management
  • Knowledge on AS400 concepts
  • Knowledge on disaster recovery (Role swap)
  • Knowledge of any ERP applications running on AS400
