You will be joining our AWS and Shared Services Infrastructure team. As a member of this team, you will be writing automation for AWS infrastructure and third party services. You will be engaging with development teams, providing AWS/Infrastructure support to application operation teams.

Your Responsibilities Include

• Work with application development teams to ensure that their applications are designed properly for interacting with AWS services such as IAM, KMS, S3, Security Group rules, following least privileged security practices.

• Write end-to-end automation for a variety of infrastructure needs, such as the ability to bootstrap and deploy AWS Accounts/Regions, infrastructure, services, and third-party applications/tools.

• Design, implement, and deploy cloud infrastructure services for AWS.

• Mentor your peers with development best practices. Provide code peer-review feedback.

Knowledge and Skills

Required:

Cloud

• Experience designing and consuming cloud services, ideally based on Amazon Web Services or/and MS Azure

• to think in a "cloud-native” manner

Development

• Ability to write automation code in a common scripting language, such as Python or golang, etc, including experience in AWS SDKs

• Formal development experience is a huge plus

• Working knowledge of Git, Bitbucket/Stash, Jenkins or similar tools

Optional:

Networking

• Understanding of fundamental concepts like network security, routing, and load balancing

• Good grasp of standard protocols like TCP/IP, SSH, RDP, etc.

Operations

• Understanding of operational concepts like change management, on call rotations, escalations, uptime, etc.

• Experience in managing production systems on a very large scale

• Experience with log management and monitoring tools such as Sumo Logic, Splunk, Logic Monitor. Etc

• Deep understanding of Linux

• Experience with writing configuration management recipes (SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, or similar)

• Knowledge of container technologies, Docker, ECS, EKS, K8s etc.

Architecture & Design

• Ability to formalize a design for a variety of audiences

• Willingness to work in a team to design the best possible system without letting ego get in the way

Security

• Conscious of security concerns

• Work with Information Security teams, stay current and deploy security benchmarks such as CIS, NIST.

• Healthy fear of implementing an insecure solution
