The Nordics Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing for employees in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland within our HR Shared Services Center. This role demands strong payroll expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, international setting. The ideal candidate has proven payroll administration experience, a deep understanding of local regulations, and a customer-focused mindset.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for regional employees, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain payroll data including salary adjustments, benefits, deductions, and tax details.
  • Collaborate with payroll vendors, HR teams, and finance departments to streamline operations.
  • Resolve payroll inquiries from employees and stakeholders promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Support audits and reporting by maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Drive process improvements to boost efficiency and service quality.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes affecting payroll.


Specialized Attributes, Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in an additional Nordic language (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, or Finnish) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll processing, preferably in a shared services or multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance standards in the region.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems and HRIS.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and robust problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within an HR Shared Services environment.
  • Expertise in multi-country payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with payroll reporting and analytics.
  • Certification in payroll administration or a related field.
